Estimation of Welding Cost - All industries engaged in welding production are confronted with the problem of estimating welding costs. Analysis of welding costs may be required in advance of actual welding; in which case the results would constitute a cost estimate or the cost analysis may be made after the welding is in progress for various evaluation and management purposes.
The reasons for estimating welding costs are varied, but most often are to :
(i) Compare the economics of welding with some other method of fabricating or manufacturing.
